MPs will explore the contribution of adult social care to the economy and ask how the Government could consider adult social care when working towards its economic growth mission. 

The session will cover the contribution of unpaid carers and examine the impact of the current system on health and wellbeing of those who provide unpaid care, and how reform of the sector could change this. 

The Committee will also investigate workforce challenges across the social care sector and question witnesses on the impact that the level of vacancies and rate of turnover have on care workers and those receiving care.
