Nikhil Rathi and Ashley Alder to face questions on work of the FCA
Senior officials from the FCA, including the Chair and Chief Executive, will appear in front of the Treasury Committee to discuss the work of the regulator next week.
Meeting details
This follows a session on Tuesday 3 December where MPs gathered evidence from industry voices and think tanks, as well as hearing from consumer advocacy groups.
In that session, the Committee heard that industry and consumers have conflicting views on issues such as the adoption of long-term growth as one of the FCA’s secondary objectives and how to balance risk-taking with protecting customers.
The session is expected to cover a wide range of topics which may include motor financing, relationships with the new Ministers and the Mansion House speech.
