The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) today announces a one-off evidence session with Cabinet Office Permanent Secretary and Chief Operating Officer of the Civil Service, Cat Little CB, at 10:00 on Wednesday 4 November.
Meeting details
In PACAC’s opening public session of the new Parliament, Cat Little will appear for the first time since being appointed in April 2024.
The Committee may choose to examine the Permanent Secretary’s priorities for the Cabinet Office and the Civil Service over the next 12 months, as well as the department’s use of AI and data. She may also be asked how the Cabinet Office and Civil Service are approaching the delivery of the Government’s five “missions”.
MPs could probe into why Cabinet Office staff report higher levels of discrimination and bullying than most other government departments, according to the most recently published Civil Service People Survey.
