On Wednesday morning, the Housing, Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee will question Matthew Pennycook MP, Minister of Housing and Planning, on the Government’s plans to deliver on the commitment of 1.5 million new homes by the end of this Parliament.

The cross-party group of MPs will ask questions around the Government’s proposed reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework, including changes to how local housing targets are calculated. They are also likely to examine issues around Green and ‘grey’ belt development, New Towns, as well as plans to deliver more affordable housing.
