The Secretary of State for Scotland, the Rt Hon Ian Murray MP, will make his first appearance before the Scottish Affairs Committee in a public evidence session on Wednesday 20 November at 9.30am.

The cross-party Committee will question the witnesses on the future of intergovernmental relations between the UK and Scottish Governments. This could include how the new UK Government intends to ‘reset’ the relationship between the two Governments and how its approach will differ from the previous Government’s. 

The Committee is likely to explore the Scotland Office’s programme of work and long-term priorities, including ‘Brand Scotland’, a new £750,000 programme announced in the Autumn Budget. 

Members may also question the Scotland Secretary on the energy industry in Scotland, including GB Energy and the Great British Energy Bill, as well as ongoing developments at Grangemouth.
