How can industrial policy boost UK green industry?
The Business and Trade Committee hears from experts and representatives of firms producing essential green technologies on industrial policy for the net zero transition.
MPs on the Committee seek to find out which measures could build competitiveness in green industries such as offshore wind, heat pumps and home retrofitting, and the hurdles it faces in doing so.
Meeting details
The UK has a legal commitment to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Global competitors are now backing green industries with massive subsidies and policies such as the US Inflation Reduction Act.
This will be the fourth session of the Committee’s Industrial policy inquiry.
