The Joint Committee on Human Rights questions Lord Bellamy on Wednesday 24 April in ministerial scrutiny session focussing on the UK’s respect for its international human rights obligations.

The session will examine the UK Government’s internal processes for engaging and complying with its human rights obligations.

It will also look at the Government’s approach to implementing judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in respect of the UK, and engaging with wider human rights monitoring mechanisms including the Universal Periodic Review.
