The session will focus on the independent review of university spin-out companies; the challenges faced by companies wanting to scale up; and what the Government could do to encourage individuals to move across and between academia, industry and the public sector.

- The major factors preventing UK companies from scaling up their operations
- The actions proposed by the Government to address the independent review’s recommendations
- The longer-term challenges for university spin-outs
