The Committee has been investigating the changes needed to deliver energy efficient homes across the UK, how the Government can support innovation and the affordability of the switch to decarbonised heating.

The first panel of Ofgem officials are likely to be asked about the support schemes administered by the energy regulator and its role in encouraging innovation while protecting consumers.

Lord Callanan is then set to face questions on the Government’s support schemes. MPs could also ask about reform of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), how the Government coordinates the rollout of low carbon technologies and energy efficiency measures and how it ensures market signals incentivise desirable consumer and industry behaviour.
