MPs to examine how to improve existing health inequalities among men

The third session of the men’s health inquiry will look at factors driving health inequalities between groups of men and how the challenges can be addressed.

Questions are likely to cover known factors linked to health outcomes include education, income and ethnicity, with health inequalities between men at a higher level than among women. Barriers to men accessing community services are also expected to be considered.

The session will examine whether there are missed opportunities to provide greater support across men’s lives from boyhood to fatherhood, promoting better mental and physical health.
