The Justice and Home Affairs Committee is launching a short inquiry on Electronic Border Management Systems. The Committee is taking evidence on the introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) by the UK Government. It is also looking at UK preparedness for the launch of two EU border management schemes, the Entry/Exit System (EES) and the Electronic Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS).
This session follows up on earlier work by the Committee and concentrates on the potential impact of the new schemes at St. Pancras, Dover, and the UK’s juxtaposed border controls in France.
