Treasury Committee to question public body on Government investments, their Post Office role and the sale of NatWest
The Treasury Committee will question the leadership of UK Government Investments (UKGI) at 9:45 on Tuesday 6 February.
UKGI is a HM Treasury-owned company which advises on all major UK government corporate finance matters. They are responsible for managing the portfolio of government-owned companies such as Channel 4, NatWest and the Post Office.

The cross-party committee are likely to ask about the role of UKGI in the sale of the Government’s shareholdings in NatWest and how the sales announcement has been received in the private sector.
The Committee could question the role of UKGI in the management of the Post Office, probing on whether they have had any involvement in the Sub-Postmaster Horizon scandal.
Members may ask about the performance of UKGI, including its value for money and prominence within wider Government.
Questions may be asked about UKGI’s oversight of Arm’s Length Bodies and the effectiveness of its administration.
