Background
The Committee discusses a range of issues with the Secretary of State, focusing primarily on core issues around AI, as well as digital exclusion and skills.
The session explores themes covered in the Committee’s recent report on large language models and generative AI, which examined what needed to happen over the next 1–3 years to ensure the UK can respond to their opportunities and risks. It also involves questions about the Government’s work to tackle digital exclusion and improve digital skills.
