Continuing its scrutiny of the UK’s food and agricultural trade strategy, the EFRA Committee investigate issues relating to standards in trade agreements and how far standards are being upheld.

In Tuesday’s evidence session, Committee members question witnesses on the nature and coherence of the UK’s agri-food trade strategy, engagement and consultation, as well as biosecurity and the implementation of the Border Target Operating Model.
The session also looks at the path forward for UK-Canada FTA negotiations, ongoing negotiations between the UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and between the UK and India, examining what opportunities and risks these may present.
