During the third and final session, the cross-party Committee of MPs will hear evidence on the steps the Government and the medical research sector are taking to improve the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health conditions and to reduce the pain women experience on a regular basis.

The first panel will include the Medical Research Council, National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the Academy of Medical Sciences and NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). Areas for discussion will include the commissioning and funding of research and development and awareness of NICE guidelines.

MPs will question the Minister, NHS England and the Women’s Health Ambassador during the second panel discussion on the Government’s work on women’s reproductive health, ahead of making recommendations for the Committee’s report. Discussion will likely focus on the adequacy of training in the NHS, prioritisation of women’s reproductive health plus progress in delivering the Women’s Health Strategy.
