Committee to take evidence on business models for long-duration energy storage
The House of Lords Science and Technology Committee will hold its fourth evidence session for its inquiry into long-duration energy storage.
The Committee will hear from the National Infrastructure Commission, the Electricity System Operator, Centrica Storage and Geostock.
The session will focus on explore what long-term strategic vision needs to be in place for the private sector to invest in long-duration energy storage infrastructure, whether the Government can remain technology neutral or whether different technologies might require different kinds of support, and what can be done to encourage the owners of long-term storage to take a sufficiently long-term view.
