Meeting details
The inquiry aims to uncover, in more detail, how these attitudes can filter through to society, impacting attitudes towards and treatment of women and girls, including at live music events.
The inquiry explores what steps can be taken to improve attitudes and treatment of women working in music.
The Committee previously questioned Sir John Whittingdale MP, Media, Tourism and Creative Industries Minister, on misogyny in music, in the sixth session of its inquiry. MPs asked the Minister about the lack of legal protections for freelancers, the use of non-disclosure agreements to silence victims, and improving standards to tackle discrimination.
