- What fundamental strengths and weaknesses has Covid-19 revealed in New Zealand’s model of public service delivery and government culture?
- Do you believe that New Zealand has been more effective in coordinating its public service response to the pandemic than the UK and, if so, to what extent is this the result of “whole-of-government” reform? Are there other factors which have contributed to New Zealand’s success?
- What can be learnt from Taiwan’s experience of Covid-19 about how digital technologies can be used to improve and democratise public services – such as health, education and local government – to benefit the communities that they serve?
- Do you believe that Taiwan’s model of digital government – in particular its focus on open data, online collaboration and trust between the public, civic society and government – is applicable to a country with a very different political culture such as the UK?
