Levelling-Up Committee continues local audit and financial reporting inquiry
The LUHC Committee questions witnesses from the National Audit Office (NAO), including Gareth Davies, Comptroller & Auditor General.
The Committee also questions representatives from accountancy organisations including Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and Financial Reporting Advisory Board (FRAB).

In Monday’s evidence session, the cross-party group of MPs will question witnesses on topics relating to the purpose and understanding of local audit, the impact of local authority accounts and audit findings, and the role of audit in local accountability and democracy.
