Culture Secretary to be questioned by Committee
The Culture, Media and Sport Committee questions Lucy Frazer, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, as part of its regular series of non-inquiry hearings on the work of the Department. It will be the Culture Secretary’s first appearance before the Committee since she took up the post in February 2023.
Meeting details
The cross-party Committee questioning will likely cover all aspects of the Department and Committee’s remit. Issues that could be covered include:
- The implications of machinery of government changes and loss of the Department’s digital portfolio;
- Culture and heritage policy;
- Support for the Tourism sector;
- Media policy and public service broadcasting, including issues facing the BBC and the draft Media Bill;
- Sports policy and governance, considering rugby finances, football regulation and racism in cricket
