FCDO Minister Andrew Mitchell and experts to examine Sudan conflict
On Tuesday 25 April, at 16.00, the Foreign Affairs Committee will hold an evidence session on the current situation in Sudan, hearing from expert witnesses, including a former British Ambassador to Sudan, a former Member of the Sovereignty Council which served as the collective head of state of Sudan and the Minister of State for Development and Africa at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP.

The session will discuss recent developments in Sudan after fighting broke out in the capital, Khartoum, on Saturday 15 April. This follows weeks of tension between the army and the paramilitary group Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
