This is a one-off evidence session following the Fan-led Review of Football Governance and the subsequent White Paper. The Committee will seek views on the establishment of a new Independent Regulator for men’s football such as the powers and responsibilities it will have regarding club licensing, football finances, appointing owners and directors and mandating fan engagement.

In the first panel of witnesses' MPs will hear from Tracey Crouch CBE MP, who headed the Fan-Led Review of football governance, and Kevin Miles, Chief Executive of the Football Supporters Association. Questions will likely focus on the Fan-led review, supporter’s opinions on the proposed governance reforms, the fallout from the collapse of the European Super League and measures to include fans in club decisions.

In the second panel, the Committee will question Rick Parry, Chair of the English Football League, Debbie Hewitt MBE, Chair of the Football Association and Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League. MPs will likely seek the football bodies’ reactions to the announcement of a regulator, its interventions in their financial negotiations and the enhanced owners and director's test.
