Treasury Committee questions Chancellor on Spring Budget

The Treasury Committee will question the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt, on the measures announced in the Spring Budget at 9.45am on Wednesday 29 March.

Likely areas of questioning

The Committee’s scrutiny is likely to focus on the impact of the Chancellor’s announcement on households and businesses across the UK, and on inflation, taxation and economic growth.

The cross-party Committee of MPs will gather economist views on the measures announced in the Budget at 9.45am on Tuesday 21 March, and will question the independent Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) at 2.15pm on Wednesday 22 March.
