Treasury Committee gathers economist views on Spring Budget

The Treasury Committee will gather economist views on the measures announced in the Spring Budget at 9.45am on Tuesday 21 March.

Likely areas of questioning

In the first of a series of sessions scrutinising the Budget, the cross-party Committee of MPs is likely to examine the impact of the Chancellor’s announcement on households and businesses across the UK, and on inflation, taxation and economic growth.

The Committee will hold a session with the independent Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) at 2.15pm on Wednesday 22 March, before questioning the Chancellor on the impact of the Budget at 9.45am on Wednesday 29March.
