Environmental regulations inquiry: commercial development sector to give evidence

On Tuesday 28 March 2023 the House of Lords Built Environment Committee continues its inquiry on the impact of environmental regulations on development.

Meeting details

At 10:45am: Oral evidence
Inquiry The impact of environmental regulations on development
Assistant Director of Sustainability and Tax Policy at British Property Federation
Associate at Fisher German

This session will focus on understanding the impact environmental regulations are having on the commercial development sector – including offices, retail and warehouses – and to what extent this differs to the housebuilding sector.

The opportunities presented by ‘green development’ for those in the commercial development sector will also be considered too. This will include the opportunity to offset biodiversity net gain through formal schemes between landowners and developers, as modelled by Fisher German LLP.
