Met Commissioner questioned on police culture and performance
The Home Affairs Committee takes evidence from Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sir Mark Rowley, on Wednesday 14 December in his first appearance before the Committee since taking up the role in September.

The session examines the Commissioner’s priorities for the role and strategies for addressing the key challenges facing the police force. Questioning will focus on police standards, following a catalogue of high-profile failings in police conduct, and ask what more can be done to transform the internal culture of the force. Given the impact this has had on public confidence the Committee will also examine what measures are being taken to rebuild trust with the communities the Met serves.
The Committee will also investigate the Met’s performance in areas including preventing and solving crime, and policing protests.
