How well are creative industry bodies supporting the sector?

The Communications and Digital Committee takes evidence from Arts Council England, the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the Creative Industries Council in the penultimate session of its inquiry into the creative industries.

Possible questions to the panel include:

  • Do you think Government policy appropriately reflects the creative industries’ strategic importance to the economy and society?
  • What has been the impact of the Creative Clusters programme in fostering commercially successful innovation? Has there been an independent evaluation, and how could any lessons be built on?
  • Could, and should, other research funding programmes focus more on generating commercial outcomes?
