The Scottish Affairs Committee holds its second evidence session on its inquiry, Promoting Scotland Internationally, focusing on the work and role of the UK Government in promoting Scotland’s international cultural and tourism offer.
Across two panels, members will be hearing from VisitBritain, VisitScotland, the British Council and the Co-Chair of the Scottish Arts and Humanities Alliance.
Among the issues likely to be discussed are:
- Scotland’s international brand and how well recognised Scotland’s offerings are to international visitors;
- Encouraging more overseas visitors to Scotland;
- The role of international events – such as COP26 – in attracting visitors;
- What the UK Government’s priorities should be in promoting Scotland’s cultural, arts and education offer to the world.
