Communications Committee to hear from Ai-Da the robot artist in House of Lords first

The Communications and Digital Committee will hear from Ai-Da, a life size AI robot artist, as part of its inquiry into the future of the UK’s creative industries. The committee will also take evidence from industry and academic experts on AI in the creative industries.

The committee will take evidence from industry and academic experts on the effects of technology on the creative industry workforce and intellectual property law. The committee will then quiz Ai-Da’s creator Aidan Meller on the possibilities and limitations of are using AI in the creative sector.

Ai-Da the robot will also answer the committee’s questions around its own process for creating art and how it differs from the methods of human artists.
