Lords Committee hears from Natural England, the Environment Agency, National Parks England, and The National Association of AONBs. 

The Land Use Committee holds two public evidence sessions on how nature recovery and biodiversity are being integrated into government plans on Land Use in England. In the first session, the committee hears from Kevin Austin, the Deputy Director, Agriculture Fisheries and Natural Environment at the Environment agency and Alan Law, the Deputy Chief Executive of Natural England. In the second they hear from David Butterworth, the Lead CEO of National Parks England for 2022 and John Watkins, the CEO of the Association of AONBs.

  • How effective are Local Nature Recovery Strategies at supporting the Nature Recovery Network? 
  • What organisations would be best place to decide on the allocation of land for the various competing agendas for land use in England?
