Development stakeholders questioned on Sustainable Development Goals

This is the first evidence session for the inquiry into the Sustainable Development Goals, being held in advance of the deadline for written evidence on 10 September.

Purpose of the Session

The first panel includes experts from civil society and academia and offers committee members the opportunity to explore key issues relating to the negotiation of the SDGs and the final draft of the Goals which will be agreed at the upcoming UN Sustainable Development Summit in New York 25-27 September 2015. It will enable members to set the scene for the forthcoming inquiry by highlighting key issues around implementation of the SDGs, and the role of DFID, civil society and academia in this process.
