UK approach to managing fiduciary risk in conflict states reviewed

Sub-Committee on ICAI hears from the Independent Commission for Aid Impact (ICAI) and the Department for International Development (DFID) on ICAI's review of DFID's approach to managing fiduciary risk in conflict-affected environments.

Purpose of the Session

The Sub-Committee will question ICAI and DFID on the effectiveness of DFID's fiduciary risk management system in conflict-affected environments. The Sub-Committee will examine how DFID identifies, mitigates and monitors fiduciary risks in difficult and rapidly changing situations, to ensure that UK aid money is used only for the benefit of the very poorest and is not misappropriated.
