Baroness Casey questioned on findings of her audit of group-based child sexual abuse

16 June 2025

The Home Affairs Committee will question Baroness Louise Casey on Tuesday 17 June in an evidence session examining the findings of her rapid audit of the current scale and nature of gang-based exploitation.

In January, the Prime Minister tasked Baroness Casey with conducting a rapid review into grooming gangs and child sexual abuse. The findings of the review have been published today (Monday 16 June).

The session will explore the findings of the review and ask what steps will need to be taken now the Government has committed to holding a national inquiry into group-based child sexual abuse, in response to Baroness Casey’s report.

Witnesses

From 10.30am:

  • Baroness Louise Casey
  • Sarah Kincaid, Policy Adviser, Home Office
  • Neil O’Connor, Senior Adviser to Baroness Casey
