Rt Hon Keith Vaz MP, Chair of the Committee, said:
"The newly appointed Home Secretary will be appearing before the Home Affairs Select Committee for the first time, and we intend to ask questions on a range of issues, including policing, immigration and counter-terrorism.
The summer began in crisis for the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse with the resignation of Justice Goddard, and we will also be seeking answers on the way forward for this inquiry from the Home Secretary."
