Purpose of the session

The session is likely to cover:

  • An assessment of where the UK is in the negotiations
  • The extent to which immigration will feature in the negotiations
  • How the UK might best satisfy demand for control of immigration while maximising market access
  • Whether the UK should seek to remain in the EEA and what immigration controls might be possible in such a scenario
  • The trade-off between market access and sovereignty
  • What immigration options could be delivered by a free trade agreement
