Applications open: Maternity Adviser, Expert Panel

4 December 2020

The Health and Social Care Committee's Expert Panel is looking for experts in maternity services to contribute to its work.

The Expert Panel

The Committee has established and commissioned an indepedent, politically impartial panel of experts to evaluate the Government’s commitments across a range of healthcare policy areas.

Chaired by Professor Dame Jane Dacre, the Panel will undertake research and analysis in order to judge the Government's progress against key objectives and commitments, including reviewing written evidence and published data.

The Panel’s first evaluation will be the Government’s commitments to maternity services in England. We are looking for additional members to join the Panel for a time-limited period (up to six months) to provide specific expertise and experience in maternity services.

For further information about the Expert Panel and the process of independent evaluation of Government commitments, read our Special Report, Process for independent evaluation of progress on Government commitments.
