- Parliament TV: Delivering core NHS and care services during the pandemic and beyond
- Health and Social Care Committee
Purpose of the session
The third hearing of the Health and Social Care Committee's inquiry 'Delivering core NHS and care services during the pandemic and beyond' will explore the impact of the pandemic on patients as well as health providers. Lessons from the coronavirus pandemic and likely future changes required to run services effectively will also be considered.
During the first panel, the Committee will focus on three areas: dentistry, emergency medicine and care as well as surgical practice, hearing a patient's experience of accessing surgical treatment during the pandemic first-hand.
On the second panel, MPs will take evidence on the impacts on patients as well as health providers more broadly, identifying strategic and practical challenges faced by the sector. Measures and support required to reduce disruption to services will also be considered.
