Prison health and social care experts questioned on services

The Prison and Probation Ombudsman, charities, and regulators are questioned on health and wellbeing issues of prisoners, and their health and social care service experiences.

What we'll investigate

The Health and Social Care Committee will investigate mental health and substance misuse in prisons. This includes prisoner suicides, self-harm and deaths. The committee will also question experts on issues affecting older prisoners.

This evidence session is part of the prison healthcare inquiry.

This session will take place in Committee Room 15 in the Palace of Westminster.
