Business and Trade Sub-Committee on Economic Security, Arms and Export Controls

Commons Select Committee

The Sub-Committee was established to scrutinise key elements of the UK Government’s economic security regime, and consider whether more needs to be done to ensure that its strategy can meet the challenges of an increasingly volatile geopolitical landscape. The Sub-Committee will also take forward the Business and Trade Committee’s responsibilities for scrutiny of government investment screening decisions taken under National Security and Investment Act, and arms exports licensed under the Export Control Act.
