Foreign Affairs Committee hosts Northern Neighbours Conference

16 June 2022

Today and tomorrow the Foreign Affairs Committee is hosting the Northern Neighbours Parliamentary Conference, the first event of its kind in Westminster.

On the second day the conference will shift focus to discuss the Arctic and High North, addressing the economic and security implications of the impact of climate change in the region and the war in Ukraine.

Speakers will include Sir Alex Younger, former Head of UK Secret Intelligence Service, and Anne Applebaum, journalist and historian.

Representatives from the media are unable to attend the conference itself, however a comment from the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Tom Tugendhat MP, will be made available on the Friday.
