- Foreign Affairs Committee
The Foreign Affairs committee last week visited Cairo and Tunis to take further evidence in connection with their inquiry on Libya, which is now coming to the end of its evidence taking phase
This visit coincided with apparent progress towards a Libyan Government of National Accord with internationally recognised sovereign authority. This government is expected to invite assistance of all types from the international community including the United Kingdom. It also coincided with the publication of reported remarks of the President of the USA on French and British leadership in the early stages of the Libyan crisis.
