Minister of State questioned on UK Overseas Territories

18 December 2018

The Foreign Affairs Committee holds an evidence session on The future of the UK Overseas Territories.

This is the last session of the Committee's Overseas Territories inquiry. So far this inquiry has covered various topics, including human rights and equality, OT representation in Parliament, the OTs' relationships with the Foreign Office and reactions to legislation recently passed by Parliament requiring the OTs to publish registers of beneficial ownership by 2021. The Committee may ask Lord Ahmad about these and a range of other issues that have caused tension in UK-OT relations recently.
