House of Lords committees following dissolution

30 May 2024

Following the dissolution of Parliament on 30 May 2024, all select committees have ceased to exist. Unless and until they are reappointed at the start of the new Parliament following the general election, there are no chairs or members of committees.

In the interim, any inquiries regarding the work of the committee may be directed to the staff using the details on the committee's homepage. However, staff may not be able to provide substantive answers to questions about specific items of work.

Government responses and debates on reports

The Government is required to respond formally to all reports, notwithstanding dissolution. Such responses, if not issued before dissolution, will only appear after a new Government is formed following the election.

Motions to debate committee reports will be tabled as appropriate in the new session.

The information on these pages refers to committees and their work before Parliament was dissolved. If there are Government responses to committee reports outstanding, these may be published in the next Parliament.
