- Letter to Keith Anderson, Chief Executive Officer Scottish Power, 25 October 2023
- Energy Security and Net Zero Committee
The letter asks a number of questions about the processes followed by Scottish Power and the firm’s communications with customers.
Chair's comments
Angus Brendan MacNeil MP, Chair of the ESNZ Committee, said:
“Making moves towards limiting access to power just as the weather is turning colder is not a good look and flies in the face of the Committee’s calls for energy firms to be much more empathetic towards their customers. There are serious questions for Scottish Power about the timing of this move, whether they are following the correct procedures and if they are taking proper steps to protect vulnerable customers.”
