Industry questioned on decarbonising steel and what support would be welcome from Government

The Environmental Audit Committee hears from representatives of the steel industry, who will be quizzed about options for decarbonising the industry, current progress and the policy environment needed to make the transition.

  • Government support to the UK steel industry;
  • Plans to decarbonise steel sites;
  • Operational costs of green steel;
  • How the Government can increase the demand for green steel within the public and private sectors.
