MPs to investigate impact of upcoming checks on EU meat and seafood imports

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee will be holding a second evidence session as part of its inquiry into Seafood and Meat Exports to the EU.
Purpose of the session
In this session, MPs will hear from those who certify that seafood and meat products meet the necessary export standards, as well as logistics executives, to examine the impact of the end of the Brexit transition period, and whether reported delays and red tape complications are teething problems or longer-term issues.
The session will also look ahead to the possible impacts of the introduction of checks on seafood and meat imported from the EU to Great Britain.
