Councils and farmers discuss flood prevention methods

The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee holds an oral evidence session with local authorities and farmers looking at local and natural methods of preventing flooding as part of its future flood prevention inquiry.

  • local community and drainage board roles in preventing flooding

  • how natural management methods, such as storing water on farmland or improving land management, can help to slow water flows
