Specialist trade adviser appointed

The House of Lords’ International Agreements Committee appoints Sarah Hall as specialist trade policy adviser to support the Committee’s scrutiny work.
The Committee has appointed Sarah Hall, Professor of Geography at Cambridge University as specialist trade policy adviser to provide expert impartial advice on trade-related matters for a fixed term of five years. She is Deputy Director of UK in a Changing Europe and, as an economic geographer, has worked on the UK’s changing trade relationships with the EU, US and China. Her research covers the economic, legal and social dimensions of different international agreements, including free trade agreements, bilateral dialogues and regulatory agreements. She works on new forms of services and digital trade agreements, alongside work on goods trade.
