Instruments being considered by the Committee
6 September 2018
These are the proposed negative instruments that the Committee will be discussing during its next meeting on the 12 September.
The Committee can recommend these proposed negatives to instead be subject to the affirmative route, and a Lord's Committee (the Statutory Instruments Scrutiny Committee) conducts scrutiny of the same instruments.
The Government can reject or accept recommendations made by the Committees, but has to provide a written statement if it chooses to reject a recommendation to make a statutory instrument affirmative.
If you or your organisation has comments or concerns on a specific statutory instrument, you can submit your comments to us. Please head here to find out how to do that.
