One statutory instrument recommended for further debate in the House
12 September 2018
The European Statutory Instruments Committee recommends one proposed EU (Withdrawal) Act secondary legislation for further debate in the House.
During the Committee's meeting on 12 September the Committee discussed four negative statutory instruments laid by the Government and recommended that one of these should be upgraded to the affirmative procedure, and be discussed by Members before passing in to law:
- The Cat and Dog Fur (Control of Import, Export and Placing on the Market) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018
The full report with the Committee's recommendations can be found here.
The Committee will next meet after conference recess and thereafter weekly when the House is sitting. When the date of the next meeting has been confirmed this will be updated on the website.
